Affiliate disclosure and privacy

How this site makes money

Some VPN links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a subscription, the VPN company pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra.

Three rules keep that honest:

• Statuses come from dated sources and testing, never from payouts. A VPN that pays us well and is blocked gets marked blocked.
• We only ever recommend alternatives that are currently verified working in that country. No exceptions for commission.
• We cover VPNs with no affiliate program at all (Mullvad, for example) and link to them plainly, because leaving them out would make the grid less useful.

Affiliate links on this site go through our /go/ redirect so we can count clicks per page. Pages with affiliate links show a short disclosure above the first monetized block.

Privacy

Our audience cares about privacy, so we keep this short and strict:

• We never store your IP address. When you submit a "working / not working" report, we store a one-way hash of your IP made with a salt that changes daily, used only to limit repeat submissions. It cannot be reversed into your IP, and yesterday's hashes cannot be linked to today's.
• The optional ISP field in reports is free text you choose to provide. Leave it blank if you prefer.
• We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to count page views. We do not run third-party ad trackers.
• Click counts on /go/ links are logged with the page they came from and a country-level hint from our hosting provider, not with any personal identifier.
