Method: Historical user reports (2024, background) say Windscribe works in Egypt only with Stealth or WStunnel; standard OpenVPN/WireGuard are exposed to Egypt's DPI. Vendor KB (Oct 2025) recommends Stealth/WStunnel on port 443 for restricted countries but does not name Egypt.

Windscribe's website was fully reachable in Egypt per OONI, with 69 clean measurements and zero anomalies between April and July 2026. The most recent user reports are from January 2025, when Windscribe was listed among VPNs that stopped working during that month's DPI crackdown, and March 2024, when it reportedly required Stealth mode. Status stays unverified pending a current report.
